How to get Full Licensed software every day?

Posted by boddhayan on May 8, 2009

Giveaway of the Day

Giveaway of the Day gives you one free commercial software application every day. What’s the catch? Each program is available for 24 hours only, and you must install it the day you download it.

To clarify, the software doesn’t expire after 24 hours. Rather, you have a 24-hour window in which to nab it and load it. But once that’s done, it’s yours to keep. Sweet!

Don’t expect to find PhotoShop or Quicken here; the selection consists mostly of games, utilities, and the occasional niche app (like the 3D-album designer that appeared a few days ago). Previous days’ giveaways are still listed on the site for browsing and buying, but they’re not organized or categorized—one area where Giveaway of the Day needs improvement.

Microsoft offers Free Web space and domain

Microsoft Office Live

Microsoft Office Live

Microsoft Office Live Small Business is a web hosting service that gives you a domain name (any available .com, .net, .org, or .info), email, business management tools, collaboration tools, and more, for a surprising price tag: $0.

Despite the Small Business moniker, the service doesn’t appear to be limited only to businesses—meaning you could probably use the service as a personal site (as CNET suggests). Check in with the Microsoft Office Live Small Business video tour for a closer look at what you can expect if you decide to sign up. The service is free for one year, after which you’ll need to pony up a still-reasonable $15/year. If you’ve used it in the past, share you experience in the comments.

Alternately, if you’re not keen on Microsoft’s hosting offer, check out the most popular reliable and affordable web hosts according to Lifehacker readers. Read the source

Virgin Mobile

Virgin Media, the UK’s largest residential ISP and provider of the country’s fastest nationwide broadband service, has started a customer pilot to test real-world deployment of 200Mb speeds. Using its brand new ultrafast network, Virgin Media will be piloting blisteringly fast speeds four times faster than the 50Mb service currently available. The 200Mb pilot is believed to be the fastest implementation of DOCSIS3 technology in the world, running faster than services offered in Japan and the US, which currently reach 160Mb and 101Mb respectively*.
